DESCRIPTION:

This country is in the west of Europe. It’s limited to the south with the Mediterranean Sea and Italy, to the south-west with Spain, Andorra and Cantabrian Sea, to the west with the Atlantic Ocean , to the north Canal of the Mancha, UK, the North Sea and Belgium and to the east with Luxembourg, Germany and Switzerland. There are 66 952 000 people and the weather in the south-east coast is Mediterranean. It is quite rainy during the year, in the west the weather has got cool summers and mild winters with rain all the year. The capital of France is Paris. The president is Emmanuel Macron. This country is very interesting to visit because of its impressive monuments and castles.

The Eiffel tower

It’s named because of the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. It’s the tallest structure in Paris.

 

The Louvre

It’s one of the most important museums in the world. It’s very famous for its masterpieces, especially The Gioconda by Leonardo da Vinci.

 

Notre-Dame

It’s one of the oldest construccions of the Gothic style of the archdiocese of Paris, dedicated to Maria, the mother of Jesucrist.

 

The castles of Loire

These castles belong to the Frances Renaissance. At that moment the royal power was in the shores of the Loira river.

 

The Champs-Élysées

The name comes from the Greek mithology, where designated the moral of the dead reserved to the virtuoso souls. This is the same as the Christian paradise.

 

Palace of Versailles

It was a royal residence. This construccion was ordered by Louis XIV and it’s one of the most important monarchical architectural models in Europe.

 

OUR TIPS:

In the restaurants you should ask for a jar of water. Tap water is free and it’s good. The queue for the museums is endless, it’s better to buy the ticket previously. People under 25 don’t pay in a lot of museums. In the restaurants and bars the price includes the service, so it isn’t necessary a tip.
